Gargoyles in Games!

The main design of a Gargoyle is strong and intimidating, it can be used to give fear towards the players. With that said, their main purpose does vary from it's first design of being a water spout. Some games use them as decoration pieces but also as main boss-battle characters that players would fight against. Here I have found a couple of examples:

bell gargoyles

The Bell Gargoyles (Darksouls Boss)

The Bell Gargoyles are the first major, mandatory bosses in Dark Souls. A veteran player will have no problem defeating them, but noobs won't fare so well. The first gargoyle attacks with an axe and breathes fire.  They kept the design similar to most gargoyle statues, with the same textures.  What I Like about this is the fact the textures have that old and aged effect on them to make the character more believable.

galio league of legends

Galio (League of Legends playable character)

Galio is a playable character in League of Legends, his main design is kept similar to that of a normal gargoyle with the horns and bat like wings, this is good for a starting point, but what to add to it is the question...

Gargoyle statues from the Batman Arkham games

The Batman Arkham games architecture has a Gothic theme to it. So no doubt the game has to feature gargoyles, their main purpose in the game is for the character to perch on top and be the silent-killer, overlooking evil and defeating their rival enemy. Across the world of the Arkham games the designs of these gargoyles never change, but the way of attaining the usefulness is obtained by other means, such as poles, walls and pillars.

Though there are many uses for gargoyles in games, I need to focus on making mine into a statue with a water spout, though how the design will look at the end will be done through more research and iterations, well best get on with it then...
